Be the Match- 2017 Minneapolis Walk+Run Intern
I was hired as the 2017 Service Intern for Be the Match's annual 5K/1K Walk+Run. In this position, I worked predominantly with the internal employee campaign by creating fundraising events for employees to participate in, and approving events that other employee teams created. Overall, I helped facilitate teams of employees meet a fundraising goal of $62,000.
Be the Match is a company hosted under the National Marrow Donor Program, and works to pair donors and patients daily. This organization has over nine million donors registered, and has created a highly responsive and effective patient support system. Along with these causes, the annual Walk+Run raises money towards research to end blood cancer through cell therapy. |
